United Christian Youth Camp is a non-profit organization. We were founded in 1952 with a purchase of 112 acres in the tall pines of Prescott. Several Christian Churches in Phoenix made the purchase and constructed the first buildings in 1953. These buildings were what we now call Ponderosa Camp.
We currently own 86 acres. We have several meeting spaces, special housing for speakers or other VIP, heated pool, basketball, and volleyball, skatepark, BMX track, and archery.
Log Cabin Village was constructed in 1988. These are actual cabins with 4 bedrooms in each cabin, 6 to a room, and a central lobby in each one. LCV can sleep a total of 360. We have 2 meeting spaces, basketball & volleyball, amphitheater, and our high ropes course in LCV.
We rent both facilities to our supporting churches and to other guest groups as well. We also have many program camps throughout the year for youth and adults. Many Christian Churches in Arizona, Nevada and Utah financially support UCYC. An Executive Board governs us and Greg Mengarelli is our Executive Director.
