YOUNG ADULT COORDINATOR

Reports to: Program Director

The Young Adult Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the team of Summer Staff is fully staffed and comprised of young adults with character, spiritual motivation, and buy-in to the UCYC mission.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee UCYC ambassadors.
  • Plan and lead consistent recruiting trips.
  • Connect with Young Adults through consistent recruiting trips.
  • Cultivate a year-round community among the summer staffers through mentorship, events, and relational care..
  • Recruit during the summer.
  • Model a lifestyle that reflects the character, spiritual motivation, and buy-in to the UCYC mission.
  • Build relationships with ministry partners for long-lasting SS funnels.
  • Maintain visible scoreboard of hired staff.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • Previous work experience.
  • Ability to frequently travel the Southwest.
  • Lives in Prescott, AZ.

Working Conditions

Availability for a flexible work schedule, including weekdays and some traveling evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Reports to: Production Manager

Implementing UCYC’s standard of service while creating multimedia experiences that go beyond the expectations of our guests and clients. Working alongside Program and Guest Services to create an exceptional multimedia experience and to create an atmosphere where guests can experience God intimately in a unique and dynamic way that cannot be duplicated in church settings..

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in audio visual technology equipment.
  • Creating and implementing systems for safe storage and handling for audio/visual technology equipment.
  • Proficiency in camera/ video equipment and software based video editing including (but not limited to) Final Cut Pro X.
  • Proficiency in multiple operating systems and computer networking.
  • Responsible for Stage design and Rigging.
  • Creating Videos for website, social media and live events.
  • Creating multi-media production experiences as needed for live events where use of production equipment is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the A/V field is a must.
  • Computer skills are a must; needs to be proficient in Mac OS, Windows OS, as wells as operating systems such as iOS, and Android OS: understand multi displays setups proficient in presentation software (Pro Presenter) understanding of computer based DMX lighting software, and basic computer networking.

Working Conditions

Woking outdoors in weather that sometimes may be extreme. Some weekends will be required.

Physical Requirements

Needs to be able to lift heavy objects (50+ pounds), climb ladders, and crawl into tight spaces.

    COOK

    Reports to: Dining Services Director

    Cooks are responsible for preparing and serving high quality meals to our guests. This person is able to work quickly and produce a quality experience along side the rest of our team. This role is also a team player and supports the needs of all team members.

    The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to prepare buffet style meals during dining hours.
    • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
    • Maintain accurate food inventories.
    • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures marking the date.
    • Cook menu items for the day with minimal amount of oversight, with excellent
      quality and within time allotted.
    • Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
    • Restock Kitchen for subsequent shifts.
    • Assist and support kitchen staff in their duties.
    • Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through work areas throughout shift.
    • Ensure that kitchen, salad bar, walk in coolers, and freezers remain clean and free of hazards during shift.

    Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of Food Service experience in a cooking capacity.
    • Supervisory experience over other food service staff.
    • Able to read and understand directions and recipes clearly and precisely.
    • Performance under stress and time constraints.
    • Can quickly think on the fly and make adjustments as needed.
    • Reliable and Accountable.

    Physical Requirements
    Able to lift 50lbs. Can be up and moving 90% of shift.

    DINING SERVICE STAFF

    Reports to: Dining Services Manager

    The purpose of this position is to assist in creating the ideal dining experience for campers and guests to commune together and with Jesus over a meal. Whether behind the scenes or out in front this position is responsible for serving others well.

    The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures marking the date on them.
    • Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
    • Coordinate food preparation with other Dining Hall Staff.
    • Ensure that kitchen and salad bar area , including, walk in coolers, and freezers remain clean and free of hazards during shift.
    • Execute all tasks and assignments in a timely manor
    • Make sure dining area is well maintained and satisfaction of campers is met.
    • Keep floors clean, free of spills, food, trash and other obstacles.
    • Properly use dishwasher to clean dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, pans and etc.
    • Maintain UCYC’s safety and sanitation standards.

    Qualifications

    • Must be 16 years of age or older and be able to regularly lift 20+ pounds with out difficulty. Able to read and take directions to fulfill duties.
    • A positive and upbeat personality and out look on life is crucial.
    • We are looking for people that understand hard work but are able to have fun while doing the best job then can.
    • No prior experience is necessary, only those that are ready to learn and are reliable.

    Working Conditions
    Must be available to work 2 shifts per week. Preferably Fri-Sun. We do have openings for mid day M-Th as well.

    Physical Requirements
    Lift 20+ pounds. On your feet standing/moving about 90% of shift.
