Position Summary

The Facilities Tech employee ensures the buildings and grounds are problem free so guests, campers and employees can enjoy camp under the best and safest conditions.

Qualifications, Education, & Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience is helpful but not necessary
  • Listens and clarifies directions to ensure maintenance issues are addressed
  • A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspects buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs and renovations
  • Paints buildings as needed
  • Maintains and repairs buildings’ plumbing and electrical systems
  • Clean and maintain pools
  • Basic vehicle care and maintenance.
  • Assists all other departments with maintenance issues
  • Keeps the Director of Facilities informed of issues in areas needing maintenance
  • Adheres to UCYC policies and procedures

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift (50lbs +), ability to walk 6+ miles per day and be out in the sun. Must have the ability to stoop, stand, and climb ladders. Ability to be in extreme weather conditions.
